Concrete Block Production During the Coronavirus Pandemic

Concrete block manufacturing is a strategic industry because of the importance and growing number of major construction, housing, development and infrastructure projects. However, the spread of coronavirus has significantly affected block and other building material production. Some factories reduced output because of staff cuts in block plants, while others did so because of lower customer demand. The virus has also directly affected factory employees, whose travel is difficult because of quarantine and curfews. A fully automatic block machine is therefore recommended during this period, since it requires few workers: just two people can operate the plant and manufacture concrete blocks during the coronavirus crisis.

Buying Block Making Machines During the Coronavirus Pandemic

As COVID-19 continued to spread, many aspects of everyday life changed globally and locally, including remote work, distance learning and even remote shopping. This became an ideal way to buy and sell while avoiding direct contact with others. At Beyazlı Grup, for example, most block machine purchases during the pandemic took place online. Customers could not visit the factory because international flights had been suspended to limit the disease’s spread. They therefore purchased block plant equipment from their own countries using computers and smartphones. They contacted us directly and viewed the factory and manufacturing process by video call. Invoices and contracts were then sent for signing and returned to us. Some customers purchased equipment using bank letters of credit for additional assurance. This allowed customers to buy concrete block manufacturing equipment easily during the pandemic without unnecessary contact or spreading the disease.

Installing block plants during the coronavirus crisis

After a sale and manufacture, equipment must be shipped to the customer’s chosen location, where our specialists normally install it and train workers. However, the coronavirus outbreak directly affected our staff because some countries suspended flights and prohibited entry. We therefore completed some block plant installations remotely during the pandemic, communicating directly online with customers and workers. We provided instructions through drawings, photographs and videos to simplify installation, commissioning and training for concrete block production during the coronavirus pandemic.
