Concrete manufacturing process:
Concrete production may seem simple, but it requires experience in choosing materials and the quantities to add. Cement, sand, water and aggregate must be mixed in balanced proportions to obtain a good mixture. Cement binds these ingredients together. Concrete is mixed in two ways:
Manual concrete mixing: workers measure the appropriate quantities of the materials needed and mix them together. Quantities must be checked carefully because too much or too little affects the concrete’s properties. For example, excess water produces a very weak mixture that does not bind firmly. Manual mixing is somewhat difficult and tiring because it relies on labor. This reliance on workers was also why concrete plants were inexpensive in the past.

Mechanical Concrete Mixing: Strength is one of the most important qualities of successful concrete, because moisture, heat, pressure and other factors affect its long-term performance. Concrete quality and strength mean weather resistance and durability. Mechanical mixing has become widespread because it produces a more homogeneous, stronger mix.
